Background
Kara worked as an Environmental Manager for Fitzpatrick Contractors Ltd and as a Construction Engineer for Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd before setting up her own consultancy. Her consultancy business focused on advising construction professionals, architects and builders of relevant environmental issues and solutions. Before joining the Graduate School at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Kara was a lecturer in Environmental Studies in the School of Architecture at the University of East London
