Background
Stuart was part of the first cohort to gain an MSc on the REBE course based at CAT; he originally trained and worked as a mechanical design engineer and after a brief spell teaching, formed a design partnership which he ran throughout the 1990’s. He went on to become the general manager of an engineering and rapid prototyping business. Prior to his role at CAT, Stuart had for several years worked independently for a number of international companies as a Design and Manufacturing Consultant and European Project Manager.
Stuart began working for the Centre for Alternative Technology in 2008, as a Renewable Energy Consultant and Tutor/Lecturer on the MSc REBE Course. In addition, he also lectures and runs practical sessions on hydro power for the MSc AEES.
