    • David Hood - The viability of small scale biomass Combined Heat and Power in the UK
  • MSc thesis supervisor
  • Lecturing

Research Interests

Research interests focus around the design and assessment of low environmental impact buildings, and on thermal and energy performance. I aim to combine scientific and often highly technical research, within the broader and multidisciplinary context of design of the built environment.

Current projects:
‘Energy efficient bio-based natural fibre insulation' (2008-2012) with Bio-Composites Centre Bangor University, University of East London and others (leading one workpackage)

Recent projects:
Design project - Second placed (equal) in 'Welsh Passive House' competition, Ebbw Vale in collaboration with George + Tomos Penseiri, Machynlleth (2009)
The Wates house and the Code for Sustainable Homes (2009)
