The 2011 Science Symposium - Call out for Papers

12/13th November

A conference presenting student and alumni work

Dear alumni, We are inviting alumni to submit papers at the forthcoming ‘Science Symposium’ to be held at CAT on 12-13 November 2011. This weekend coincides with the GSE graduation ceremony. If you would like to take this opportunity, you should initially submit an abstract with a maximum of 300 words. Papers will usually be based on thesis or other coursework. The abstract could be taken from the thesis, modified to meet the word count if required.

Dates Date for abstracts – 26 August Notification of acceptance – 31 August Submission of full papers – 30 September Feedback from reviewers – 14 October Submission of final papers – 4 November

Full papers will be 7 pages maximum and will follow a standard format that will be made available soon. Papers will be put on-line on the Graduate School website and will be publicly accessible, and as the papers will be peer reviewed they can be listed in CV’s with the web reference.

Please state on your abstract whether you would prefer to give a 15 minute presentation or to produce an A1 size poster. Send the abstract to;
