Professional Diploma Student Blog: Euan

EuanEuan

Euan completed the first part of his architecture qualification at the University of Strathclyde. Since graduating, he has worked in a variety of roles relating to sustainability in architecture, including community development in Argyll, improving facilities and creating a community space in North Glasgow, and assisting with school building projects in Uganda. Euan is now studying at CAT on the Professional Diploma in Architecture course, and will be sharing his experiences with us here.

AEES Student blog

Alex Metcalfe

Alex Metcalfe

Alex’s academic background is in Sociology and Social Anthropology. He’s worked as a community activist, in agriculture and within the local and slow food movement.

Alex is hoping that studying AEES part time will lead him to be a sustainable design professional with internationally recognised qualifications, a breadth of marketable expertise and will enable him to facilitate the transition of others toward sustainable lives.

Lewin gained a BSc in chemistry in 2010 and has decided to move into renewable energy as, "I think it's going to be one of the biggest issues we'll have to deal with over my lifetime." David lives in Northumberland, England's most northerly county and works as a civil servant and volunteer for Friends of the Earth.

He studies on CAT's AEES by DL course so he can make buildings which are often old, stone built, off the gas grid more sustainable. And also for a change in career, in his words 'to stop being a civil servant.'
